The exhibition in real time
Together with the music critic Michele Monina, F31 signs “ICONO_GRAFIE” , a photographic project dedicated to the protagonists of Sanremo, the most popular song contest and awards ceremony. Sanremo is the longest-running annual TV music competition in the world on a national level, and it is also the basis and inspiration for the annual Eurovision Song Contest. During the five days of the Festival, “Attico Monina” (Michele Monina’s attic, where the real heat of the festival happens) hosted competing singers, producers and emerging artists with live, interviews and debates 24/7. Here F31’s photographic set imprinted their emotions on 24″x24″ inches photographic paper, without filters and manipulations.
One single and unique photographic shot per subject, never replicable, each artwork (on the back) has been stamped and signed by f31 and by Michele Monina – but with a unique text created by the author for each artist.
F31’s project at Sanremo has captured the attention of ARRI, the global industry giant film, winner of 19 technical awards awarded by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Los Angeles, which provided the lighting for the creation of these unique portraits.
The Sartorialists of ELIGO MILANO, on the other hand, took care of Michele Monina, Roberto Prosdocimo and Federico Lanzani’s custom outfits,; through an exclusive style consultancy they created a look for every day, inspired by the evenings and themes of Sanremo.
The backstage of “ICONO_GRAFIE” was documented and published on social media with reportage video, photos, multimedia and through a dedicated YouTube channel, by REPARTO21 Visual Hub.
“Darkness is what colors the light” and gave life to the photographic portraits created by F31 for the competing artista at Sanremo, February 2020.
